I used to love wandering the busy streets with my friends. But, that was a very long time ago. Nearly 9 years today. I haven't had a single human friend all this time, only my companion, Kat, and I now. As I walk the streets, I recall my past. What is it I'm missing, besides the death of my family and village. What have I skipped about my destiny. Why did my parents have to die? And my village aswell? My thoughts froze on as I stopped...
Atreo looked around, she was in the middle of the street in traffic. 'Great.. Now I look insane. Something else to be teased about.' Atreo stood there as a car was a couple yards away. Atreo jumped, Kat in her hands, landing on the passing car. She jumped up again, landing on the back of a pick-up truck. Atreo rode a good yard or to before jumping off and landing on a stop sign, bending it back because of her akward landing on it. Atreo let down Kat.
Kat jumped off and landed swiftly shaping herself into a Black Panther as she did so. Atreo jumped on her companions back and rode about a mile off, stoping once she was out of District Two and in a much less trafficed Third District.
"So much better! No more nosy people to bug me. At least not as many." She told Kat. Kat yawned and formed back into a small black cat with blue eyes, her true form, and nodded. Atreo sat down next to her and rubbed her ear. "Too much excitment, eh Kat?" she said, smiling. "I could probably do more, but I think I've made my point clear now, What do you think? Should we hulmiluate ourselves more, or should we give it a rest for the day?" she asked Kat sarcasticly. Kat gave her owner an odd look. Atreo took that as a defident no. "Well, can't argue with yah there." she laughed.
A sudden wind picked up and cars began wizzing by again. "Darn.. I thought we lost the cars already. Oh well. Not like they'll start talking to us. They never do. Though, it'd be nice to have a firend I could rely on." Kat tilted her head at her mistriss's words. "A human Friend, Kat. One who can talk back to me when I ask them things. In my language." She added the last part, seeing the look on her companions face. "Well. I'm bored now." She said, looking around for anyone nearby. It had been a while since Atreo had had any human contact, at least any Friendly contact.
